Modulating to the relative minor

An ‘alap’ (see Videos 3 and 4) explores the intervallic relationships to a tonic drone available through the pitches of the full chromatic array. This experience contributes to interval recognition as well as to improved tuning once the intervals become familiar over repeated performance.
